Meet the Cook

Kimberly Fontenette

Ms. Kimberly Fontenette

Born and raised in Houston, TX this singing-cook knows music and food all too well.

My Mother cooked for so many different events you couldn’t help picking up something from her”. When she was in high school her mother was diagnosed with ALS, so she had to cook more than she planned. Cooking came very natural to her just as singing did. But it was not until her Father’s death that she dove deeper into her other gifts. “I never thought I would sing again; his passing took more out of me than I expected”. Her way of dealing with grief and pain was staying to herself and cooking, along with writing. It was during the last few years that All Things Gumbo became a reality.

Ms. Kim’s hope is that everyone that comes her way will be touched by her food, music, or just simply her words of encouragement.
